Ultimately, the irrelevant audition has warped into something nonsensical. For the records, Jianqun actually auditioned 3 times in his entire lifespan in GENUS!
1st time - to get into GENUS
2nd time - to get into PO
3rd time - to go Japan

actually, you forgot that lotsa people in genus also auditioned more than once.. namely all those solo-soloists and concerto-soloists. :P
thus, ppl like YY would also have auditioned at least 3 times.
heck, i myself had to audition twice just to get INTO Genus!
there's something i don't understand. raj, as part of the ensemble, ok, maybe understandable.
but dominic? a conductor shouldn't put his name together with the ensemble, it's like taking up someone's place. he should know where he stands. his role is to guide and lead the ensemble, not be an ensemble member. as much as he loves playing, he should understand he's not hired by cfa to do that. someone should wake him up. he can't have the best of both worlds.
